The Andhra Pradesh Government has launched several welfare schemes for the residents of the state including schemes for women, pensioners, youth, farmers, entrepreneurs, laborers, students, and shepherds belonging to the lower strata of the society. In this article, we are going to discuss the complete list of Active schemes launched by the Andhra government for the year 2021.

Many students in Andhra Pradesh have tremendous academic potential, however are unable to pursue their education further due to financial instability. Thus, the Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme launched by the Andhra government is for those students who are willing to pursue higher education but lack the necessary financial resources. The major objective of the scheme is to encourage the youth of the state to pursue education.

Under this scheme, full fee reimbursement benefits will be given to about 14 Lakhs students of the state. The chief minister Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy has sanctioned Rs. 4000 crores along with the previous due amount of Rs.1880 crores for this scheme. He firmly believes that education and healthcare are their two priorities. Apart from this, the scheme covers courses from all the respective fields to provide maximum benefits to all the students. The implementation of the scheme began after the announcement made by Chief Minister Mr. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on 28th April 2020.

  • YSR Aarogyasri Scheme

The health insurance scheme or the YSR Aarogyasri Scheme was initially launched in the year 2007. The revamped version of the scheme has now been launched again (2021) by Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The scheme aims to provide cashless medical treatment to the residents of Andhra Pradesh. Under this scheme, if the medical expense of an individual exceeds Rs 1000 then the cost of treatment will be borne by the Andhra Pradesh government. Initially, the YSR Aarogyasri Scheme was operational in the 7 districts of Andhra Pradesh. But now the scheme has been extended to the remaining districts of Andhra Pradesh such as Srikakulam, East Godavari, Krishna, Nellore, Chittoor, and Anantapur. will also come under this scheme. The scheme covers 2200 diseases so far. This revamped version of the scheme was launched on 3rd January 2020 at 10:00 a.m. for all the common public.

 

  • AP YSR Rythu Bharosa Farmer List

YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme of the Reddy Government was launched back in 2019 for providing financial assistance to the farmers of the state. Under this scheme, the beneficiary’s family gets Rs.12500 per year from the starting of the second month. Additionally, the government also provides zero percent interest loans, free bore wells, Cold storage, and food processing units to the farmers. The third installment of the scheme was paid in January 2021.

The Real-time government society (RTGS) has identified around 66,54,891 landowner farmers and around 15.36 lakh tenant farmers who will benefit from the scheme. The government has merged this scheme with the PM Kisan scheme. The financial assistance under the scheme will be transferred directly into the bank account of farmers through direct benefit transfer mode.

 

  • YSR Housing Scheme 2021

This Scheme was launched on 12th July 2019 by the Andhra Pradesh Government. The total budget that is allocated for the YSR Housing scheme is 2280 crore rupees. The interested applicants can register. The already registered applicants can check their names in the updated Sanction list of 2021. The Andhra Pradesh Housing Corporation has aimed to deliver 30 lakh houses by 2021 to poor families under this scheme. 

The Andhra government will issue YSR House Patta to the beneficiary. The House models under this scheme are environment friendly, single floored, earth-quake resistant, and include a bedroom, kitchen porch, and living area. The House Model has all the major amenities like freshwater, availability of electricity, and developed infrastructure. The Andhra government aims to develop the rural areas of the state before 2022. To achieve this goal, the state government has decided to collaborate with the Central Government. Both governments have decided to invest 6000 crore rupees in the YSR Urban Housing project.

  • Meeseva Portal (ap.meeseva.gov.in) / Meeseva Application

The Andhra Pradesh government has started an online portal through which the residents of the state can apply for various government services and documents like Aadhar Card, voter identity card, ration card, passport, etc. The citizens thus no longer have to visit government offices and stand in long queues for getting their work done. They can directly apply for these services on the portal or application while sitting in the comfort zone of their houses. 

  • YSR Sampoorna Poshana Plus Scheme 2021

The YSR Sampoorna Poshana Plus Scheme was launched on 1 September 2020 targeting pregnant women and lactating mothers. The scheme aims to provide nutritious food to pregnant women and children. The YSR Sampoorna Poshana items list contains food items such as eggs, milk, rice, dal, Oil, Paysom, and cooked food also. The responsibility to distribute these items is given to the Anganwadi workers of that respective area. Special Anganwadi centers have been set up for the distribution of food items.

The beneficiaries can simply register themselves by getting in contact with the local Anganwadi workers. Moreover, these workers must approach the beneficiaries and add their names to the list.

  • YSR Zero Interest Loan Scheme

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched a scheme for self-help groups and the DWCRA women association during the pandemic. Keeping up with the scheme, the Andhra Pradesh government has deposited 1,400 crore INR in the bank accounts of 8.78 lakh SHGs (Self Help Groups). The scheme enables the women groups and other SHGs to avail loans easily. Individuals who apply for the loans, will not be charged any interest rates. The loan amount will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s Bank account. This step is a strong move towards women’s empowerment.

 Reddy has also sanctioned 510 crore rupees under YSR Zero Interest Scheme (YSR Sunna Vaddi Panta Runalu) for state farmers. 1.98 lakh farmers will get input subsidies for crop loss. Under YSR Sunna Vaddi Panta Runalu Scheme, the state government has already paid Rs. 135 crores for Kharif loss (Crop Between June to December). The compensation amount was transferred to the bank accounts of the respective farmers.  

Applicants who have already applied offline for YSR Zero Interest Loans can check their application status officially with the help of their registration id. Once you know the status, just in case the loan has not been sanctioned, you can lodge complaints in the government office.

 

Agananna Vidya Kanuka Kit

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to provide kits to school students post the lockdown. These kits will include- shoes, boots, bags, uniforms, belts, and other necessary items. This is an important step taken by the AP government towards the education of the children. YSR Jagananna Vidya Kanuka kits will be given only to public school students who belong to poor and backward households. After the implementation of this scheme,2.5 lakh students have shifted from private schools to public schools.   • Janmabhumi Scholarship Status

Andhra Pradesh state government was started for students who are unable to continue their studies due to their weak financial condition. A separate online portal has been started where students can apply for Pre matric and Post matric scholarships. The scholarship aims to increase the education and literacy ratio of Andhra Pradesh. The interested students can apply by visiting the official portal and the ones who have already registered can check their application status. The applicant should necessarily be a resident of Andhra and must belong to the SC/ST category. The criterion for income changes with the scholarship that the student applies to. The scholarship encompasses only Pre-Matric students and Post- Matric students.

  • Jagananna Thodu Scheme 2021

The YSR government started the Jagananna Thodu scheme for state dwellers during the pandemic situation. Under this scheme, the Andhra Pradesh government provides business loans up to Rs. 10000/- to street vendors. This loan is completely interest-free. According to official reports, around 10 lakh street vendors have applied for this loan. Barbershops, cobblers, pan shops, laundry services are also included in this scheme. 

The applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh state and should be at least 18 years. The annual income requirement varies. Important documents that are mandatory to attach are:

  • YSR Pension Kanuka New Scheme 

The scheme targets the aged, physically disabled, widows, of the state. Under this scheme, the government is obliged to pay an incentive to the above-mentioned categories. The Pension amount is delivered at their doorstep of the applicant every month and is different for each category. An individual who wishes to apply for this scheme should be a resident of the state and belong to the BPL category. He or she should not receive any other pension benefit from the center.

The Andhra Pradesh Government provides Rs.2250/- per month to Old Age People, Widow, Toddy Tappers, Weavers, Single women, Fishermen, ART (PLHIV) Persons, and Traditional Cobblers. Apart from this, the Andhra Pradesh Government provides Rs. 3,000/- per month to Disabled people, Transgender and Dappu Artists.

 

  • Adarsham Scheme 2021 

YSR Adarsham Scheme was launched under the transport sector to provide self-employment opportunities to the youth of the state. The scheme provides loans to purchase Trucks that carry goods. Some banks will collaborate with the government to implement this scheme. Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC), Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Corporation (APCSC), Andhra Pradesh Beverages Corporation Limited (APBCL) are responsible for hiring such trucks and providing work to the youth which in turn will improve the living standard of people. 

The scheme was specifically designed for the youth of the Andhra state. The scheme is also extended to the people belonging to the BPL and ST/SC categories.   • YSR Bheema Scheme 

Andhra Pradesh State government has launched an Insurance scheme for the state. Under this scheme, an insurance cover of Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 5 lakh will be provided to the policyholders. In case of any mishappening (Accident & other) or permanent disability, this amount will be issued within 15 days. The beneficiary is expected to pay 15 rupees per annum for taking advantage of this policy. The state government aims to provide security to poor families and unorganized workers who can’t afford an expensive premium for insurance schemes.

  • AP Free Laptop Scheme 2021

The main motive to start this scheme is to promote education and stop those students who left their study after 10th or 12th class. Under this scheme, free laptops are provided to state students. The main idea behind this scheme is to promote education and help students to continue their studies. The Department of Welfare of Differently Abled & Senior Citizens, Assistant Directors, and District Managers of Andhra Pradesh is responsible for efficiently carrying out this scheme.   

The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state and their family income should be less than 15000 Rs. Required Documents for registration are:

  • YSR Kapu Nestham Apply Online

The Navasakam Kapu Nestham Scheme focuses on providing financial assistance to women from backward communities like – kapu, balija ontari, and Telga. The financial assistance is provided up to Rs 15000/- per annum. It empowers women of age 45 and above to start their businesses. The applicant must be a woman of the BPL category or be a part of any of the above groups mentioned. She should also fall in the age bracket of 45-60 years. mandatory documents include-

  • YSR Jala Kala scheme 

Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a scheme that deals with irrigation-related problems in the state. Under this scheme, new borewells are dug for small and marginal farmers for free of cost. The state government has covered 5 lakh acre of agricultural land for irrigation and empowers farmers. Rs 2340 crore has been sanctioned by the state government for this scheme. The information regarding the digging of borewells is transferred via SMS.

The Applicant must be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh State and should belong to the category of small or marginal farmers. The applicant should have the land sanctioned under his or her name. Important documents required during registration are:

  • YSR Kanti Velugu Scheme 

Andhra Pradesh State government has recently started a beneficiary scheme that aims at providing free eye check-up to state dwellers. The scheme was first implemented on 10th October 2019 at Anantapur District on the occasion of “World Sight Day”. The scheme is extended to all the residents of the state. The results of the check-up are provided instantly. Thus, all eye-related services are provided free of cost. To enroll in this scheme, the applicant has to log in on the official website of the Department of health, medical, and family welfare Government of Andhra Pradesh.

  • YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme 

Andhra Pradesh state government has launched a fisherman beneficiary scheme on the auspicious occasion of World Fisheries Day. Under this scheme, the government has promised to provide up to 10000/- rupees to 109 lakh fishermen families during the period of marine boycott and lean period. The scheme will be available for farmers within the age bracket of 21 years to 60 years. Eligible Applicants must be permanent residents of Andhra Pradesh and must be fishermen by profession. The financial help in the off-season will be directly transferred to their bank accounts.

The registered fishermen will also get a diesel subsidy of Rupees 9 per liter. The Aqua farmers will also be benefited under this scheme. Important documents that are required are:

AP YSR Kapari Bandhu Scheme

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched the new YSR Bandhu Scheme 2021 targeting the upliftment of the Shepherd community of the state (Members of Golla and Kuruma communities). The objective of the scheme is to provide subsidies to these communities on the sale and purchase of animals.

Under the provisions of this scheme, the state will provide economic protection to the shepherd community. The state shall provide financial assistance to all shepherds to purchase 20 sheep and 1 goat. The beneficiaries will get a 30% subsidy on the loan amount of 1.5 lakhs rupees. According to the report released by the Andhra government, 200 crores have been fixed for the scheme. It is expected that the scheme will Benefit around 50 thousand people (12,500 per year) for four years. The scheme has been introduced by the National Cooperative Development Corporation to benefit all the shepherds and its implementation is yet to take place.

The applicant must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh state and must have an active bank account. Only the members of the Golla and Kuruma communities are eligible to register.
