An incentive scheme for all small-scale businessmen of the state of Andhra Pradesh, Jagananna Chedodu Scheme is structured in a way to bring about a massive change in the SME sector of Andhra Pradesh. The meaning of the name – Jagananna Chadodu Scheme means ‘Handholding by Jagan (CM of Andhra Pradesh) Today, with the help of this article, we are going to provide you all the necessary details of this Scheme and how to apply for the same. Jagananna Chedodu Scheme, Budget, benefits, and other details-

Jagananna Chedodu Scheme was initiated by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy on 10th June 2020 where the applicant would receive Rs. 10,000 on each beneficiary. An amount of Rs. 247.04 Crore has been issued by the government for about 2.47 lakh beneficiaries.

Under this scheme, these sect of people will get benefits-

  • 82,347 Rajakas
  • 38,767 Nayee Brahmins
  • 1.25 Lakh tailors

For people who are unaware of the above-mentioned tribes, Rajakas are the washermen caste of Sudra Varna and they are present all over the state of Andhra Pradesh. the Rajaka tribe is also called Chakali or Dhobi.

Nayi Brahmins were originally called Dhanwantari Brahmins and were the first Ayurvedic Vadiyas, traditional temple musicians, and temple vocalists. Barbers are the ones who generally belong to this particular community. They are found throughout India and are known by many names too like – Valand, Ambattan, etc. Nowadays, the Nai community in the northern part of India refers to themselves as Sain instead of Nai.

Apart from these benefits, the state government will also provide benefits for barbers who own their own shop.

Nayee Brahmins, laundrymen, and tailors are going to receive financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 per year (direct bank transfer)

This scheme will help a large section of society that is currently facing economic problems due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic which shook the world economically. 


Benefits of Jagananna Chedodu Scheme-

There are numerous benefits that come under Jagananna Chedodu Scheme. As it is focused on SMEs, the benefits are more inclined towards that particular sector. They are listed below-

  1. Availability of appropriate funds for the small businessmen
  2. Availability of appropriate funds for the ones who have a small income
  3. Incentives and be used to avail education expenses for their children as many cannot afford the same.
  4. These incentives can also be used to carry out day-to-day expenses which is much needed in today’s world.



If the following eligibility criteria are met, then the applicants could apply for Jagananna Chedodu Scheme-

  1. Permanent resident of the state of Andhra Pradesh
  2. The applicant must be a tailor, hairdresser, or a laundrymen
  3. The applicant must be registered with the social authorities in regards to their profession


Documents required to avail these services-

  1. Aadhar Card
  2. Pan Card.
  3. Voter ID
  4. Registration certificate of the respective profession
  5. Income Certificate
  6. Domical Certificate
  7. Bank Account details
  8. Voter ID card


Application procedure-

To apply for Jagananna Chedodu Scheme (offline)-

  1. Visit the Ward Secretariats or the respective village
  2. Fill in the application form and attach the necessary documents
  3. After reviewing the details, submit the application to the concerned official


To apply for Jagananna Chedodu Scheme (online)- 

  1. Go to the official website of the Scheme
  2. Click on the “Apply Now”
  3. and fill in the requested details
  4. Upload the necessary documents and submit the application


How to access the beneficiary list-

The application process is very simple where you only need to follow some common steps to avail all the benefits. Make sure that you meet all the criteria for the scheme first hand before applying.

  1. Open website Navasakam
  2. On the home page, go to the menu bar and select “Know your Secretariat”
  3. Choose your district name
  4. Select between rural and urban in front of your district as per your locality.
  5. Select the Mandal name and choose a link given opposite to your Mandal name
  6. Note down your secretariat code
