AP Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi 2021 [Check Status]: Online Registration, Objectives, Eligibility & Benefits

The CM of Andra Pradesh inaugurated the Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme 2021to help the women of the state. Under Reddy’s government, the Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme will be achieving various welfare schemes for the development of women who belong to the minority category. In this scheme, sheep and goats will be provided to the women of the state to give them a good livelihood.

Around Rs, 1868.63 crores will be spent by the government on this scheme. The Government will also provide around 2.49 lakh sheep and goats units to all of the population. Each unit of sheep and goat will contain either 14 sheep or goats. Hence this scheme is going to be very beneficial for the women belonging to the backward category


The main objective is to more business opportunities to the people who want to be self-dependent and also provide them a partnership. This Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi scheme will bring a lot of different convenience for all of the women belonging to backward categories. Hence more and more job opportunities will be created and around  31 lakh housing sites are also being distributed among the women who will be getting their names registered.

These women can purchase local goats and sheep from their region and can use the services of the committee to be set up with 2 veterinary doctors, officials from banks and SERP will also mentor them to choose proper goat or sheep units at a cheap price.


Details Of YSR Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme’s and its benefits

In this Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi scheme, women who belong to the backward categories including the minority categories will be provided units of goats and sheep. This will be a really big step by the CM of the state because it will help the women to live their lives without leaning upon everyone. 

An amount of  Rs 75000 will be given in the Andhra Pradesh Jagananna Jeeva Kranti Yojana which will support the cost of insurance and transport too. Distribution of 4.69 lakh units of buffaloes and cows with the total amount of Rs 3,500 crores to strengthen the dairy sector is laid out.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must only be women above the age of 45 years and below the age of 60 years and also must belong to either of Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes or Backward Classes or Minority communities

Macharla Brown, Vizianagaram breeds, Nellore Brown, Black Bengal in goats and Native breeds

Three Phase Implementation of Sheep / Goats Distribution Scheme

The government of Andhra Pradesh state believes that their cultivation will cater employment to landless poor women. In the process of purchase and distributing these units, the government of Andhra Pradesh state has prepared a transparent process to avoid any corruption. The scheme to distribute goats and sheep will be achieved  in 3 phases:

  • Phase 1: In the 1st installment, distribution of 20,000 units (i.e. till March 2021)
  • Phase 2: In the 2nd installment, distribution of 1,30,000 units (from April to August 2021).
  • Phase 3: In the 3rd installment, distribution of 99,000 units (i.e.from September to December 2021).
