The Andhra Pradesh government had inaugurated a lot of schemes one of which is The YSR Aarogyasri scheme. This scheme was launched in the year 2007 to establish financial funds for poor people. The YSR Aarogyasri scheme was inaugurated in the year 2017 by Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy (the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh ) and since then financial funds have been provided to every citizen of the state who ate eligible for this scheme i.e. majorly the people of Andra Pradesh who are underprivileged and are mostly below the poverty line. Through the exertion of this  Aarogyasri scheme, a lot of benefits have been provided to all of the beneficiaries in Andhra Pradesh state. One of the major benefits of the  Aarogyasri scheme was the cashless medication in most of the government hospitals of Andhra Pradesh state.

 

Extension of YSR Aarogyasri Scheme

Mr. YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy who is currently the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh state has inaugurated a scheme known as  “The YSR Aarogyasri scheme”. Via this scheme, if the pharmaceutical therapy expenses exceed Rs One Thousand then the cost of treatment will be ensured by the government of Andhra Pradesh. Now the government has also pronounced to extend this scheme. Formerly YSR Aarogyasri Scheme was viable in the seven districts of Andhra Pradesh. Now the rest of the districts of Andhra Pradesh that is  East Godavari, Krishna, Nellore, Srikakulam, Chittoor, and Anantapur will also come under this  YSR Aarogyasri Scheme. Previously there were more than Two Thousand diseases covered under the YSR Aarogyasri scheme now 234 more diseases have been added to this Aarogyasri scheme which covers around 2200 diseases until now.

Scheme Benefits Extended to More Districts

The project of Aarogyasri which was launched in West Godavari district in January, with 2059 medical diseases and only 1059 operations were provided is now going to be extended. On Monday 13th June 2020 extension order was given by The Chief Minister of Andra Pradesh- YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to the officials. Now from July 16, 2020, onwards, the pilot project of the state government of Andhra Pradesh has been extended to 6 more districts namely Prakasam, Guntur, Vizianagaram, Kadapa, Kurnool, and Visakhapatnam to those whose medical expenses exceeding Rs 1,000. The number of medical diseases increased from1059 to 2200, including cancer care services.

 

YSR Aarogyasri Scheme Budget

B Rajendranath Reddy who is currently the finance minister of Andra Pradesh has declared the budget in the state Assembly organized on 16th June 2020 (Tuesday) at Velagapudi. A budget was of Rs 2,24,789.18 Crore has been designated for diverse welfare schemes. The main focal point of the budget for the upcoming financial year 2020-2021 is the 21 welfare schemes run by the government of Andhra Pradesh in the name of and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and Late YS Rajasekhara Reddy. In the state budget for the coming year, funds of Rs 11,419 Crores have been discharged for the health sector.

 

YSR Aarogyasri Scheme Objective

The main objective through the exertion of the YSR Arogyasri Scheme was to contribute financial funds to every poor people of the Andhra Pradesh state who are not capable to bear their medical expenses or are not capable to undergo or undertake surgeries that are essential for their healthy life. Via the operation of this scheme, the death ratio in the state of Andhra Pradesh will decline completely. YSR Aarogyasri Scheme Revamp

YSR Aarogyasri Scheme Changes

A revamp of the YSR Aarogyasari scheme has been inaugurated by the government of Andhra Pradesh state. This Aarogyasari scheme is the formation of hospitals via which the beneficiaries can account for the perks of the scheme. Now one can account for the perks of the scheme in the government hospitals of Chennai, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. Now, medical compensation will also be catered to the patients who have their medical expenses exceeding rupees 1000. Involving of more than 2000 diseases will be done under the scheme also health centers will be advanced for the patients.

 

YSR Aarogyasri Scheme Eligibility Criteria

  • The candidate must only have less than 35 acres of land, including wet and dry land.
  • The applicant must have municipal property tax-paying families for less than 334 sq. Yds.
  • Contract, part-time employees, outsourcing, and sanitation workers with a yearly income of over Rs 5 lakh are also eligible.
  • The candidate can also be Honorary private sector employees and remuneration employees and employed in the public sector.
  • Any candidate having more than one car are not eligible for the scheme.
  • up to Rs, 5 lakh of the Families filing income tax are also eligible.
