On August 12, 2020, the Andhra Pradesh state government began implementing the Andhra Pradesh YSR Cheyutha Scheme. To this end, on Monday 3 August 2020, the government signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with three companies called Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL), ITC, and Procter and Gamble (P&G). The MOU was signed in the presence of Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Through the video conference, HUL Chairman and Managing Director Sanjiv Mehta, IT Managing Director Sanjiv Puri, and P&G India CEO MadhusudanGopalan also participated. These companies will provide marketing opportunities and technical support for more than 25 lakh state women. The government will spend $ 4,500 on this program.
