On November 21, 2019, World Fishermen’s Day was commended. At the event, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promoted the Andhra Pradesh YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme, a government-assisted fishing facility in Mummidivaram in the East Godavari region. As a part of this, 1,32,332 fishers in the 21 to 60-year-old fishermen will receive a significant cash-related reduction of Rs 10,000 per person during the sea turmoil and the critical period each year between April and June. The program also upgraded the Diesel Subsidy from Rs 6.03 to Rs 9 per liter, for 10 months consistently, operating on automatic machines (3000 Ltrs) and machine ships (300 Ltrs).

The Andhra Pradesh government led by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy uses the Andhra Pradesh YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme 2021 for the fishing community. The state government had previously introduced Andhra Pradesh YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Yojna on 21 November 2019. Now Andhra Pradesh government has begun issuing Rs. 10,000 for fishermen. In this program, the govt. provides financial assistance to fishers who use mechanized, motor, and out-of-the-box fishing.

Fishers will now receive Rs. 10,000 from the previous amount of Rs. 4,000 due to Coronavirus lockdown (COVID-19).  The government of Andhra Pradesh will extend the benefits of the program to fishers who have already benefited from the programs of Andhra Pradesh YSR Rythu Bharosa, Andhra Pradesh YSR Vahana Mitra, and the Andhra Pradesh YSR Pension Kanuka. Andhra Pradesh YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme Implementation

Managers have chosen to set up installed water labs in 46 locations using Rs 56.53 crore to test the quality of water, sand, feed, and seeds to help water believers. Water farmers will be empowered at a cost of Rs1.50 per unit, where management will allocate Rs 720 crore for the benefit of 53,550 water nurses. Similarly, managers would grant rights to anglers on waterways by renting in exorbitant amounts of money, making donations, and sending bumps to breeding streams.

Benefits of the Andhra Pradesh YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme

There are many benefits to be given to the Andhra Pradesh fisherman under the Andhra Pradesh YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme: –

  • Under the Andhra Pradesh YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme building, financial assistance to mechanized, mechanized, and mechanized fishing fishers will be upgraded to Rs.10,000. Before Rs.

  • The government of  Andhra Pradesh also allocates Rs. 720 crores to provide power to aqua farmers at a cost of Rs. 1.5 per unit to benefit approximately 53,550 farmers. Other major decisions are to provide for the rights of fishers in low-cost leases and to provide inclusion subsidies.

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the improvement in profits after reviewing the poor fishing conditions during his 3,648 km-long padayatra. All the beneficiaries are happy and express their happiness as an unprecedented help of Rs. 10,000 from the government of  Andhra Pradesh during the closure of Coronavirus.
